Your First Project
This guide will walk you through creating your first project in CODEFLUSS step by step. You'll learn how to set up a new project, choose the right project type, and get started with the page builder.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A CODEFLUSS account (sign up at codefluss.com)
- Access to your workspace
- A basic understanding of your project goals
Understanding Projects
In CODEFLUSS, a project represents a standalone website, landing page, or application. Each project:
- Belongs to your organization
- Has its own pages and content
- Shares the design system with other projects in your organization
- Can be published independently
For more detailed information about projects, see the Projects Concepts documentation.
Step 1: Navigate to the Projects Page
From your workspace, navigate to the Projects section in the sidebar. You'll see an overview of all your existing projects (if any) along with key metrics:
- Total Projects: Number of projects in your organization
- Active: Currently active projects
- Archived: Projects that have been archived
- Project Types: Different types of projects you have
Step 2: Create a New Project
Click the "Create new project" button in the top right corner of the Projects page. This will open the Create Project dialog.
Step 3: Configure Your Project
In the Create Project dialog, you'll need to provide the following information:
Project Name (Required)
Enter a descriptive name for your project. This name will be used:
- In the projects list
- As the default page title
- In navigation and breadcrumbs
Tips for naming:
- Keep it concise and descriptive
- Use a name that reflects the project's purpose
- Example: "Company Website", "Product Landing Page", "Q1 Campaign"
Description (Optional)
Add a brief description of your project. This helps you and your team understand the project's purpose at a glance.
Project Type (Required)
Select the type of project you want to create. The available types depend on your subscription plan.
Available Project Types:
| Type | Best For | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Landing Page | Single-page marketing sites, lead generation | Available |
| Blog | Content publishing, articles, news | Available |
| Website | Multi-page websites with navigation | Coming Soon |
| LMS | Online courses and learning platforms | Coming Soon |
| Shop | E-commerce and product catalogs | Coming Soon |
| Funnel | Conversion funnels and sales pages | Coming Soon |
| Form | Standalone forms and surveys | Coming Soon |
For your first project, we recommend starting with a Landing Page as it's the simplest project type and available on all plans.
Step 4: Create the Project
Once you've filled in the required fields:
- Review your settings
- Click the "Create Project" button
- Wait for the project to be created (usually instant)
The new project will appear immediately in your projects list.
Step 5: Start Building
After creating your project, you can:
- Open the Editor: Click on the project card to open the page builder
- Manage Settings: Access project settings from the project menu
- Add Pages: Create additional pages (depending on your plan)
