Spotlight (One-Time Jump)
Especially on very long pages, it can be tedious to search for the exact section a team member refers to in chat, or to find the area where a colleague is currently editing. The Spotlight feature solves this problem with an intelligent and simple click.
How does Spotlight work?
As soon as a colleague is logged into the same project online, you will find their user avatar (often represented as a profile picture or an initial circle) at the top of the workspace header (next to the tools). Clicking on this avatar opens a small interaction menu with various functions related to this session.
If you now select "Jump to User XY" (Spotlight in action) in this menu, your browser triggers a single, synchronized focus jump to the screen coordinates of your team member.
Automatic Scrolling
- The Page Builder immediately and smoothly scrolls on your device to exactly the area that the selected collaborator is looking at on their monitor at that moment.
- Spotlight is basically a local, one-time scroll event: After you have called up or viewed the area of your colleague, you are completely independent in your own handling of further interactions by the colleague (they do not remain permanently coupled - for this purpose, there is the Follow Me function).
Cross-Device Precision
The scrolling process uses normalized coordinates — positions are processed as proportional values (between 0 and 1) rather than absolute pixel values. This means the target area remains precise even if you and the colleague have different monitor resolutions, window sizes, or zoom levels. A position at 60% scroll depth on a 4K display will jump to exactly 60% on a laptop screen.
